My strongest experience brings client service and process improvement together. Here’s what that looks like in practice.

01 / COMMUNITY TAXVolunteer leadership

Making tax season
easier to navigate.

Director · DSU Tax Clinic (DSU Accounting Club) · 2025–2026

I rebuilt clinic procedures and volunteer roles, coordinated training and scheduling, and helped our team deliver personal tax filing support through the CRA’s Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP).

It was a student volunteer role with real responsibility: helping clients feel supported while keeping the work organized and within program requirements.

A closer look at my contribution
01

Build the structure

Reworked operating procedures, role descriptions, and the intake-to-filing workflow, with attention to documentation and CVITP requirements.

02

Prepare the team

Coordinated volunteer recruitment, training resources, and schedules so the team had clearer expectations and support.

03

Extend access

Worked with a local MP’s office on a community clinic for seniors and people with disabilities.

02 / DAILY OPERATIONS

A practical foundation
in responsibility.

Retail management · 10+ years

Years in busy retail environments taught me to balance accuracy, competing priorities, and the person in front of me. My responsibilities grew to supporting operations across three stores.

  • Cash and inventory reconciliations
  • Staff training and supervision
  • Ordering, reporting, and customer service

03 / STUDENT COMMUNITY

Creating space
for people to grow.

How I work

Ask carefully.
Document clearly.
Follow through.

01

Start with the person.

Listen first, explain clearly, and help people understand their next step. Good service depends on both accuracy and empathy.

02

Make the process usable.

Turn recurring tasks into clear procedures, practical checklists, and shared expectations. A useful process should help the people doing the work.

03

Keep learning. Use judgment.

Take initiative, ask thoughtful questions, and seek guidance when it matters. I value clear documentation and constructive feedback.

A little more about me

Building a foundation.
Looking ahead.

I’m an accounting student at Douglas College pursuing the CPA designation. I’m drawn to work that combines careful analysis, practical problem-solving, and relationships built on trust.

My immediate focus is developing strong technical foundations through hands-on accounting experience. Over time, I’d like to grow toward strategic tax advisory.

I bring experience taking responsibility, supporting clients, and improving processes—and I’m ready to keep learning from an experienced team.
